Skills Matching Profile

Welcome to our Skills Matching Profile.

Using this tool you will be able to match your skills and experience with different career and job options in the voluntary sector. Whilst skill requirements vary from organisation to organisation, the results will give you a clearer idea of what career options are available to you. You can also match the results with your top three interests (.pdf file, 44Kb).

Using the Tool

Completing this tool takes about 10 minutes.

You will be asked to rate yourself in different skills areas. You do this by giving yourself a 'star rating':

star rating

The stronger you believe that you are in a particular area the more stars you give yourself. You do this by clicking on the star representing your rating. To get an accurate result, we recommend that you are honest about your areas of strength and weakness.

To find out our definition of each skill, hover your cursor over the skill name in the survey and a definition will appear.

Finally you will be asked to indicate if you have any of the qualifications listed in Section Five. Using your cursor, tick the qualifications that you have.

It is that simple and within seconds you will have a result giving you guidance on career options that may suit you.

Live Job Vacancies

The tool links through to live jobs relevant to the results of the survey. The live job results are from CharityJob with whom NCVO work in partnership.

For a list of links to specialist charity recruitment agencies, each of whom list more vacancies on their websites, visit our recruitment links section.
